Epworth Telephone Exchange (1)
Located at 26A Burnham Road (A161), this building would appear to date from the 1960s replacing a smaller TE in the same village. It has the code SLEP, and provides telephone and broadband services to 2,931 residential and 197 non-residential premises in Epworth and the surrounding area including Belton. The blue building behind the TE to the left of the photo is that of South Axholme Academy, a secondary school.

Epworth Post Office - The Letter Box
I don't recall seeing an EIIR letter box of this type before. I understand this is a "Ludlow" box, named after the Birmingham manufacturer James Ludlow, made for use at sub-post offices between 1885 and 1965. Manufactured from sheet metal and wood with distinctive enamel plates they are apparently more prone to rot than cast iron boxes.

Temperance Hall 1868 - 35 High Street
Now the premises of Harold Woolgar Insurance Brokers. Judging by the number of notices I saw in the town proclaiming that "This Area is an Alcohol Free Zone" Epworth still has a drink problem.
