Old milestone, Askern Road, Bentley
Milestone 2 on the Doncaster - Selby turnpike of 1832. Outside No. 246 Askern Road near Victoria Road. Reported missing as Grade II listed. Vehicle strike, broken stone taken away. No further action will be taken by the Conservation department at Doncaster Council. February 2021 - has not been replaced.

Old Milestone by the A19, Askern Road, Bentley Parish
Carved stone post by the A19, in parish of BENTLEY (DONCASTER District), Bentley, by No. 246 Askern Road, near Victoria Road, back to fence on pavement, on East side of road. Erected by the Doncaster & Selby (new Trust) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- DONCASTER 2(½) MILES ASKERN 4½ SELBY 17½ YORK 32 Carved benchmark on bottom left face.
