Carved stone post by the A19, in parish of BENTLEY (DONCASTER District), Bentley, by No. 246 Askern Road, near Victoria Road, back to fence on pavement, on East side of road. Erected by the Doncaster & Selby (new Trust) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- DONCASTER 2(½) MILES ASKERN 4½ SELBY 17½ YORK 32 Carved benchmark on bottom left face.
