Police escort for Tour of Britain, 2022
Two of the many police motorcycle escorts accompanying the riders arriving just outside Wolsingham. The majority of these bikes were moving well ahead of the competitors and were there to ensure the way ahead was safe for the race to move through.

Race leaders descending Redgate Bank
The Tour of Britain cycle race 2022. The four race leaders (sorry, no names), speeding down Low Redgate Bank, the B6296, just about to enter Wolsingham. The four were quite ahead of the following pack (peleton) which passed through a few minutes later, 'en masse'. There had been plenty of activity in the lead up to the riders passing through with many police motorcyclists from forces all around the country having officers there. Then there was the following entourage of vehicles including rather sinisterly, two ambulances... just in case.

Sign for Wolsingham Show, Low Redgate Bank
Sited beside the B6296 as it enters Wolsingham from Tow Low. Wolsingham Show is said to be the oldest agricultural show in England with records of cattle shows from 1763. It is held every year on the first weekend in September and 2011 will be the 232nd annual event allowing a few gaps in the war years. A Llama Display Team is the much awaited event this year http://www.wolsinghamshow.com/index.htm

Small building near Thistlewood Lane
Thistlewood Lane, (from where the building was photographed), rises from the B6296 at the northern end of Wolsingham. The building whilst apparently out of use is by no means derelict. The road passing it is a loop off Thistlewood Lane giving access to other properties.
