Premises of Lanchester Dairies
Lanchester Dairies stands adjacent to Upper Houses Farm, (though the two businesses may have no connection). The tanks at the right side of the image are for milk storage.

Old house at Upper Houses Farm
I believe this was the original farmhouse for this farm. It probably dates from the early 19th century. A new farmhouse was built in the 20th century to replace it, and this building converted into a residential property. Originally, the right hand section would have been agricultural, possibly a byer.

Old farm buildings at Upper Houses Farm
As can be seen, this is now the home of Lanchester Dairies. These old byers are now no longer needed and are in a bit of a neglected state.

The New Farmhouse at Upper Houses
This farmhouse was built sometime in the C20. It has a sign with its name and a picture of a Friesian dairy cow. At that time this was a dairy farm, however later it moved over purely into milk processing as Lanchester Dairies.

Farm buildings at Hollinside Farm
These old buildings are in the farmyard behind the large farmhouse. There is a dovecot in the one in the centre.

Hollinside farmhouse
This wonderful old farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and has been the subject of a superb restoration by the present owner. The garden in front has received an equally good treatment too.
