A Spitfire in a Moffat garden
This full size replica of a Spitfire was commissioned by a local retired GP and it takes pride of place in his front garden. The sculpture features several wild birds, mammals and fish and is overflown by a heron. A plaque tells us that 'The bench is a gift from the family and friends of SIMON KERR 'The Kerdo' 23/6/94 - 27/10 2020. He was one of a kind and one of our own and will never be forgotten' The bench is the work of local chainsaw carver Sam Bowsher.
