Park Circle
Viewed from the junction with Warriston Road. Park Circle is a perfect circle of road, with pairs of semi-detached houses in the middle, facing outwards.

Houses in Warriston Road
There is some unusual planning in this Moffat housing estate. Not only is there a perfect circle of road (see Image]), but here, the terraced houses in this pedestrian-only part of Warriston Road are each stepped slightly back or forward to each other, producing a slight curve. The terrace on each side of the central green mirrors the opposite side.

Moffat Showground
Situated on the edge of the town, the Moffat Showground is home to the Moffat Classic Car Rally, an annual event which attracts classic and vintage cars and motorcycles from all over the world. It was begun in 1998, by the Scottish Rootes Enthusiasts, and this year over 900 vehicles attended. The event covers two days. On the Saturday 300 of the cars go on a "fun run" out to St. Mary's Loch and back. On the Sunday, besides the main showing of the cars, there is live music, entertainment and children's attractions, finishing with a ceilidh in the evening. Birnock Water and play park

Moffat Car Rally
Scottish Rootes Enthusiasts kicked off the Moffat Car Rally in 1998 which has grown to become the biggest classic car event in Scotland. Held this year in the Moffat Showground.
Twenty years on I still wonder who nicked my MkIV Spitfire with the gearstick mounted overdrive. (It has a sticker on the back window which says "Passion wagon (don't laugh, your daughter may be inside!)". If anyone finds the car, or has a change of heart please send it back. If the content is blonde and unused, send it too.
