Begun in 1998, by the Scottish Rootes Enthusiasts, the Moffat Classic Car Rally is an annual event which attracts classic and vintage cars and motorcycles from all over the world. This year there were over 900 vehicles. The event is held on the Moffat showground and covers two days. On the Saturday 300 of the cars go on a "fun run" out to St. Mary's Loch and back. On the Sunday, besides the main showing of the cars, there is live music, entertainment and children's attractions, finishing with a ceilidh in the evening. For more information see the Moffat Car Rally website. http://www.sre-scot.co.uk/index.html
