East Balgillo, Broughty Ferry
In the foreground is East Balgillo, a large estate of owner occupied housing built late 60s and early 70s. On the skyline is Roman Hill and the white farmhouse of Balmossie Farm (centre left). Farmland has recently been sold here to allow the construction of new housing in the Green Belt north of the A92!

The River Dighty
This stretch of the Dighty on the northern edge of Broughty Ferry used to be lined with linen mills and bleachfields. Today, a few derelict buildings and the weir are witness to past activity on the river.

The mighty Dighty, weir than its name suggests?
The Dighty Water separates Broughty Ferry from Monifieth. This weir is haunt of the grey heron. There is an old fish ladder on the far bank.
