The Old Fire Station, Tarporley
The Old Fire Station in Tarporley was built in 1865 by the 11th Earl of Haddington to serve one of the earliest voluntary fire brigades in England. It was later converted for use as the Fire Brigade Museum and is now known as the Coffee Shop and Chocolate Shop. The building is Grade II listed.

Church Armour in St Helen's Church, Tarporley
The armour below the ceiling in the Lady Chapel is said to have belonged to soldiers who took part in the Battle of Tarporley in 1643. Most of the battle was fought a little way outside of Tarporley, but a skirmish is said to have broken out on the fields to the south of the church.

St Helen's church, Tarporley - Done family monument (1)
The monument is thought to be by the sculptor William Stanton (1639-1705), and depicts three figures in white marble. They are of Jane Done (†1662) and Mary Crewe (†1690) daughters of Sir John Done, and also of Mary Knightly (holding a posy of flowers), the granddaughter of Mary Crew. It is said that the little girl drowned at Utkinton Hall whilst picking flowers.
