The monument is thought to be by the sculptor William Stanton (1639-1705), and depicts three figures in white marble. They are of Jane Done (†1662) and Mary Crewe (†1690) daughters of Sir John Done, and also of Mary Knightly (holding a posy of flowers), the granddaughter of Mary Crew. It is said that the little girl drowned at Utkinton Hall whilst picking flowers.
