Road bridge below Hassall Green Lock
Presumably this would originally have been a hump-back bridge but is now a level one, on concrete beams that only allow about 1.5m headroom for walkers on the towpath.

Hassall Green Locks No 57, Cheshire
All is very smart here at the upper set of paired locks at Hassall Green on the Trent and Mersey Canal. The wharf buildings have been converted into a fine restaurant and shop and other businesses. The later (circa 1830) of the two locks has been filled in and Lock 57 Brasserie has enclosed its open air tables there.

St Philip's church, Hassall Green
A distinctive pink-painted tin chapel, a rare survivor of its type, and a daughter church to St John's, Sandbach Heath Image According to Cheshire East Council's website, "despite a foundation stone bearing the date June 1880 set into the brick footings, this corrugated iron church was brought into its present position in 1883. It had formerly been St Mary’s Church in Alsager."
