Cheshire Constabulary - Sandbach Elworth and Brereton Rural Neighbourhood

The main issue in rural communities that we have been made aware of is anti-social behaviour involving vehicles around Brereton and rural locations.

PC Archer has been stop checking vehicles around the Brereton Nature Reserve area to check that the drivers are not acting in an anti-social manner. Drug swipe and breath tests have also been carried out to ensure that our rural roads are safe.

There has been an increase in ASB in the area.

Local officers met a number of residents to discuss what and when incidents were taking place. From this information "Hot Spot" policing was implemented and officers attended the area to deal with persons engaging in such behaviour.
Officers will conduct school visits to help to build relationships with local youths, to educate them about the impact ASB can have on the area, and to identify those involved.

Complaints about the fair ground rides being parked in the laybys.

Local officers have spoken with highways, local council and the fairground owners about this, ongoing action is required.

There was drug dealing near to the Co-Op and Abbey Fields Estate

We conducted High Visibility & proactive patrols, which led to the arrest of a suspect who was found in possession of Class A drugs. They have been charged and are awaiting trial.
