Sewall Highway, Courthouse Green
An unusual feature in this area- a crescent built I think in the 1950's as council houses, with a very large green space between them and the main carriageway of Sewall Highway. The road in front of these houses does not have a different name -the houses are all given a Sewall Highway address.

A stroll along the Coventry Canal to Hawkesbury Junction [20]
Although very much with the city, this stretch of the canal has a rural feel. The narrow canal was built to connect the city of Coventry with the Trent & Mersey Canal, some 38 miles distant, to exploit the Warwickshire coalfields. Construction of the canal took 20 years before it was complete in 1769. The canal between the basin in Coventry and Hawkesbury junction was made a conservation area in 2012.
