Junction of Dymond Road and Butlin Road
Part of a small estate of council housing built in 1936, the houses in the area are now a mix of owner-occupier, private rental, and housing association-owned homes.

Wheelwright Lane and Holbrook Lane, Coventry
Looking south from the crossroads of Wheelwright Lane, Hen Lane, and Roland Avenue towards Holbrook Lane. To the left after the bus stop can be seen the Lyric Discount Centre (formerly a cinema and bingo hall), and the Kia car dealership, occupying the site since 2016. On the right the corner building of the Coventry Building Society can be seen as it curves around into Parkgate Road. The road surface of Holbrook Lane (from the middle distance onward) has been resurfaced and repainted this past week.

Shops at corner of Wheelwright Lane and Parkgate Road, Holbrooks, Coventry
We are looking towards Coventry; beyond Parkgate Road, Wheelwright Lane becomes Holbrook Lane. It is a wet and blowy Friday morning in May. The Alena Mini Market, with its European Union flag, is one of the many 'European food' stores in Coventry, and over the door it says 'Welcome' in English, Polish ('Witamy') and Romanian ('Bine ati venit'). Beyond it, the mobile phone shop is shuttered, but the Imperiun Pharmacy is open, as is SKG Store Parkgate beyond the junction. But the shop unit on the far corner is empty, as the Coventry Building Society branch has closed.
