I am currently the Sector Inspector for the South and North West of Coventry Local Policing Area, a region home to over 200,000 residents.

I originally joined West Midlands Police in 2006 where I was posted to Coventry North East Operational Command Unit in Foleshill.

Following this I then worked in a variety of roles and locations all across the West Midlands before returning to local policing in Coventry during 2021.

I am passionate about creating safer communities, bringing offenders to justice and safeguarding the most vulnerable.

Vehicle Crime as requested by local residents

Vehicle Crime as requested by local residents.

Response (1 Sep 2024)

Action taken:
The team have prioritised patrols at key times and locations to prevent vehicle crime. Sometimes we use unmarked vehicles so you might not always see us.

We have also conducted joint work with our Road Policing colleagues who have been in the area overnight.

We have worked across Holbrooks, Kersley, Radford, Coundon and Allesley.

Vehicle crime reports are reducing across the North West of Coventry which is good news. However, we are asking divers in Holbrooks and Bablake in particular to ensure they lock their cars and vans and don't leave valuables on display.

If you have information about crime please contact West Midlands Police.

Coundon Woods is experiencing lots of ASB. This is not about criminalising the children responsible. We want to educate them on the dangers and consequences of their actions.

Response (1 Sep 2024)

In conjunction with the council we are trying to target the persons responsible for this.

1. We want to educate the dangers of making fires in the wooded areas
2. We want to educate the persons responsible that the carrying of any bladed articles is an offence and will give you a criminal record.
3. Speak to the parents of the children doing this to help them understand what their children are up too

Road safety and drug dealing as raised in public meetings and by local Councillors.

Response (12 Oct 2024)

Your Policing Team recently carried out Operation Chino which was targeted activity with Partner Agencies and our Community, reacting to concerns raised by residents and businesses across Radford, Holbrooks, Bablake and Sherbourne. Joint operations ranging from providing crime prevention advice and considerate parking awareness to making 7 arrests and seizing tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs and illegal goods. The Operation saw over 30 speeding motorists caught, 11 vehicles seized, 3 stolen vehicles recovered and a drugs house shut down with a closure order.
We thank local residents and Councillors who gave up their time to help us keep the community safe.
