North side of Woodville Court, by Coventry Road, Warwick
Woodville Court flats were built on the site of a Volkswagen sales and service centre that occupied a former industrial site. The VW franchise moved to Tachbrook Park business park, south Leamington, as have many other car dealers. This view is from the back of the kickabout corner of Priory Park. It is bounded by Coventry Road, left, Station Road, out of shot left, and St John's Brook, out of shot right. The bollards define a footpath to Warwick Nursery School. St John's Brook, Priory Park, Warwick
The brook rises north of Warwick and is culverted for much of its length, then emerges from under the railway embankment into Priory Park. It dives under St John's to emerge south of St John's House for a quick run through St Nicholas Park (where it once powered a mill) before joining the River Avon.

Straight tarmac path west, Priory Park, Warwick
It heads straight for the site of Priory House (dismantled in the 1920s) but turns sharply south on approaching a scrub-covered bank which may once have been part of an Iron Age hillfort. The trees in the middle distance were planted in the early 1990s as the first stage of an arboretum.

Resurfacing Coventry Road, Warwick
Centre-stage is a small road roller parked on finished work. Looks like knocking-off time: 3:30 on February afternoon, although the exceptional light would allow them to carry on further up the road. In the background is Woodville Court, recent flats on the site of a VW showroom and service centre, with Priory Park beyond it. On the right is another recent housing development, Coach House Mews.
