The owner also has a glass-fibre policeman on his car.
I know of two people who have put huge plastic fish on the roofs of their houses. One is in Headington, north Oxford[*] and this is the other. The owner of this marlin moved it down after it made the roof leak. The owner of the Norbury fish has had various disagreements with the authorities over his marlin, a jet fighter, also on his roof, and a his yellow and pink combat tank in his front garden which persistently broke down in the busiest road in Brixton. This is the only interesting thing about Norbury, this part of London. This man put a glass-fibre fish [1.5 metre] on his roof and a Second World War army tank in his garden, and a special car[!] in his drive. After years of fighting in the courts the city council made him remove the tank. They let him keep the fish - and his car.

Manor Farm Road, Norbury, from the train
The suburbia round here, be it inter-war semis or Victorian terraces, dates from after the coming of the railway and accordingly the street pattern works around the railway lines: this is one of the few crossings of the line between Norbury and Thornton Heath stations.
