The north end of North End
The extreme northern end of North End is the only small section open to traffic, between Station Road and Poplar Walk. It is used, in particular, by some bus routes unable to call at West Croydon bus station - for example, the southbound buses on Route 60.
Straight on is London Road, with the entrance to West Croydon station a short way down on the right. The road to the right is Station Road, which leads not to the railway station but to the bus station. Down to the left, and here hidden in the shadow, is Tamworth Road.

Croydon
Demolition work has commenced, with ground clearance, ready for London Square, Croydon, a twenty storey block, to be built on the site of the Station Road terrace.
I can't be certain, but the small terrace in the centre of picture might be retained, but the longer terrace, on the extreme right of picture, is definitely going.

Tramlink in West Croydon
Operating Route 2 to Beckenham Junction, number 2552 rounds the bend in Station Road beside West Croydon railway station. 2552 is one of the original batch of trams built for Croydon Tramlink between 1998 and 2000 by Bombardier Transportation. The first of these new vehicles was numbered 2530 - following on from the old London Transport trams which were finally phased out in 1952, the last of which was numbered 2529.
