The Peldon Plough
A classic example of traditional Essex weatherboard construction. This example happens to be a pub, “The Peldon Plough” they serve particularly good locally caught fish.

The Peldon Plough
Weatherboarded pubs aren't that easy to find these days - but I suspect there's no better place to look than the more coastal bits of rural Essex. I can think of a few along the north coast of Kent, too. When I called this place 'The Plough', a local resident quickly corrected me - she called it the 'Peldon Plough':http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/40661

Houses under construction, Lower Road
Planning permission has been granted by Colchester Borough Council under application number 110058 for the “erection of five houses with garages”. They are being built on the site of the former Peldon Garage.
