Weatherboarded pubs aren't that easy to find these days - but I suspect there's no better place to look than the more coastal bits of rural Essex. I can think of a few along the north coast of Kent, too. When I called this place 'The Plough', a local resident quickly corrected me - she called it the 'Peldon Plough':http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/40661
