Part of East Horndon
This section of road was once part of the original A.128 until the building of the A.127 dual carriageway. All Saints church can be seen on the hill on the far right of the picture.

My guess is that someone is looking to build some houses here in the future and is seeing if the ground conditions are favourable. They are clearly not drilling for oil!

Derelict Nightclub
The building on the left used to be a nightclub called Elliots, then renamed Twighlites. It closed many years ago. the other building used to a petrol station.

Where the Halfway House roundabout used to be
Looking north up the old route of the A128 to where there was originally a roundabout on the A127 Southend Arterial Road where the A128 crossed. Now the junction is grade separated further east. There is no way out ahead. It is possible to enter from the A128 slip road but not directly from the A127.
