Gate and Gatepost
This ruined gate is on the path from near the old Bethel Chapel down to Nant Alyn. On the 25,000 scale map and on the 1878 map there is a clear wall line running down the slope into the valley, so presumably it used to be an important property boundary, however, it no longer serves any useful purpose.

Bethel Chapel near Pantymwyn
This old chapel, built in 1825, is recorded as a Baptist Chapel on the 1878 O.S.map. It seems very remote today, but when it was built in 1825 the area was a hive of activity with many lead mines and lime kilns.
