Behind is the 1960s Hordan House, currently offices of the Department for Work and Pensions.

Ventilator, Taylor Street, Birkenhead
The Mersey Tunnel ventilator towers are a magnificent set of structures - functional, visually stunning and emblematic of the different eras in which they were built. This one was built c1931. The architect was Herbert Rowse. Grade II listed.

Class 507 EMU, Conway Park Station, Birkenhead
Conway Park is a relatively new railway station, only being built in the last fifteen years or so. Merseyrail unit number 016 is about to head into the tunnel, with a service to Hamilton Square, and then on to Liverpool.
