Houses along Coed-Y-Pia
For some reason I quite like the "street name explained" tag, and Welsh roads are a good excuse to use it. According to the translator, Coed-Y-Pia means Magpie Wood.

The main road through the centre of Llanbradach heads NW away from the village, towards Ystrad Mynach. Before the opening of the A469, this was the principal route north.

Northern boundary of Llanbradach
The road from Ystrad Mynach reaches Llanbradach, a village to the north of Caerphilly. Llanbradach is twinned with Ploubezre in Brittany. A Stagecoach bus on route 50 from Newport to Bargoed is about to pull in to the bus stop. This was formerly the main route to and from Ystrad Mynach. The A469, to the east of here, effectively the Llanbradach bypass, is now the principal route.
