Shoemakers' Row, Maesteg
Shoemakers' Row is an 80 metres long cul-de-sac on the south side of Bridgend Road. The bilingual street name sign is consistent is showing Shoemakers' (ie more than one) and Rhes y Cryddion in Welsh. Cryddion is the plural of crydd, a cobbler or shoemaker. On signs on the right, a black arrow points left for Bridgend. Another one points right towards (central) Maesteg and Caerau.

Free range chicken in Maesteg
The location is the north side of the B4282 Bridgend Road, near a car wash. A few seconds earlier, this bird brain was safely in a nearby field. Presumably my presence caused it to investigate. Though I knew it would do no good, I instinctively pointed back towards the field...
