Cars cross the Taff near Taffs Well
The busy B4262 crossing of the River Taff contrasts with quiet Heol-yr-Ynys on Ynys Bridge, from where this photo was taken. Formerly a busy through route, Heol-yr-Ynys is now a dead-end road to industrial premises.

Remains of railway viaduct
This is all that remains of a railway viaduct built by the Barry Railway. The line ran from Penrhos Junction near Caerphilly to the coal port of Barry. It is now a monument commemorating the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
