Lines of cut grass
Picked out by the low evening light. There are small patches of pastoral farming in the predominantly arable Fens. These are either for personal enjoyment (normally horses), in areas such as ridge and furrow fields where ploughing is not permitted or to provide winter space and fodder for the animals that graze along the rivers and flood banks.

Fen Side byway leaving Looe Way
Fen Side follows the bottom of the high (up to 40m, everything is relative) ground of Aldreth, Haddenham and Wilburton. It would have been a natural access route before the Fens were drained.
