Picked out by the low evening light. There are small patches of pastoral farming in the predominantly arable Fens. These are either for personal enjoyment (normally horses), in areas such as ridge and furrow fields where ploughing is not permitted or to provide winter space and fodder for the animals that graze along the rivers and flood banks.
