Linton houses [76]
Numbers 40 and 42 High Street, Bull House was built circa 1690. Formerly the Black Bull Inn, recorded in 1694 and where the Turnpike Trustees met in 1767. The right part of the building housing numbers 37 and 39 High Street is 17th century the left part is 18th century with alterations to both parts in the 19th century. Linton High Street
Part of the village centre, where Symonds Lane joins the High Street, at the bridge over the River Granta. This photograph was taken during the coronavirus lockdown, with few people about and many fewer cars parked.

Linton houses [49]
Seen here is number 35 High Street. Numbers 31, 33 and 35 were once a large shop and dwelling, part of which was formerly an inn. Built in the late 15th century and late 17th century with mid 18th and late 19th century alterations and additions. Owned by weavers and drapers in the 18th century; by a collar maker in 1792; by J Tyler a grocer and draper in 1840. In 1858 it became Holttums general store and later International Stores. Former Holttum's store, High Street
Once an inn, parts are said to be 15th century, much altered and extended. A mixture of timber-framed and brick. "Holttums & Sons" inscription over central door. Grade II listed. The K6 phone box, which still gave a dial tone, is also listed.
