Seen here is number 35 High Street. Numbers 31, 33 and 35 were once a large shop and dwelling, part of which was formerly an inn. Built in the late 15th century and late 17th century with mid 18th and late 19th century alterations and additions. Owned by weavers and drapers in the 18th century; by a collar maker in 1792; by J Tyler a grocer and draper in 1840. In 1858 it became Holttums general store and later International Stores.
