Mahon Public Elementary School, Mahon Road, Portadown
This School was built in 1847 under the direction of Queen Adelaide who designed the school. It is a building of historic interest and is now owned by the Parish of Portadown (St. Mark's) and used by their Scout Troop.
Update. This building has been extended at the back and the interior has been completely renovated. It was officially opened on 20th November 2014 and is now still used by the St. Mark's 4th Portadown Scouts. It can be hired from them for Functions and Events such as Antiques and Collectables Fairs, Birthday Parties, Coffee Mornings, Fitness Classes, Rugby Sessions for young children and many more.

Mahon Methodist Church, Mahon Road, Portadown.
The Plaque above the door says "AD 1828, Gift of Henry Ripley of Drumnakelly to The Primitive Wesleyan Methodist Society. Upon Mr Ripley's death he bequeathed the site and £200 to build the church. It was opened for worship in 1829. The church was renovated in 1890 and again in 1926. Electricity was installed in 1936.
