Connswater Shopping Centre (side entrance), Belfast
The Connswater Shopping Centre has been extended twice since it opened 30 years ago. Now pedestrians only, this entrance, at Bloomfield Avenue Image (opposite Bloomdale Street), was originally the sole means of access and probably helped in transforming the street from one that was mainly residential to one that was mixed residential and retail.

Official figures released today disclose “More recent figures for October 2013 show that the number of unemployment benefit claimants decreased by 600 over the month. There has been a fall of 3,900 in the claimant figures over the last 9 months.”
