This building, erected in 1841, stands next to the Sandys Street Presbyterian Church. The two buildings were designed by Thomas Duff, a Newry architect who also designed Newry Courthouse and many of Northern Ireland's Catholic Cathedrals, including those of Newry and Armagh.

Sandys Street Presbyterian Church and Sandys Street Methodist Church
The Presbyterian church, on the left, dates from 1830, whilst the Methodist church was built in 1841. Both were the work of the Newry architect Thomas Duff.
