Steps, Holywood
A very steep sets of steps leading from the Old Holywood Road (behind me) down into Cedar Grove. This area, including the nearby Redburn Country Park http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/706 is on the western side of the Holywood Hills where steepness is a local feature.

A new development, nearing completion, of semi-detached houses and apartments (foreground) on the Old Holywood Road, immediately inside the North Down Borough Council district (the boundary sign is at middle left). Belfast boundary sign, Knocknagoney, Belfast (February 2015)

The current Belfast/North Down boundary sign, on the Old Holywood Road, on the inward side of Redburn Court Image After reorganisation of local government on 1 April 2015 the boundary will move a short distance towards Holywood. In the words of Belfast City Council “Around 160 households from Cedar Grove, Glendarragh Mews, Redburn Court and a small section of Old Holywood Road will make the move to Belfast”. Image shows the sign after the boundary change.

No 183 Old Holywood Road, Belfast (May 2018)
The entrance to a detached house which is not visible from the road. The “for sale” sign has an “agreed” patch. The agent described it as “Excellent red brick detached residence in need of refurbishment . . . . Possible site for replacement dwelling (subject to necessary planning consents)”. I have no connection with the property or the sale and cannot enter into correspondence.
