Wraxall: towards Nailsea
On a track, which is also a public path, to Watercress Farm. Looking west towards Nailsea which is largely a creation of the late twentieth century. In the 19th century Nailsea was a village on a low hill surrounded by moorlands. It had a number of small collieries together with a glassworks. It’s now a town, effectively. Nearer the camera the waters of the Land Yeo flow unseen through fields to meet the Bristol Channel at Clevedon

Broadleaf trees in Tyntesfield Park
On a damp and misty autumn day cattle shelter under several large parkland trees. These show the characteristic flat underside termed a 'grazing line'. It is formed, parallel to the ground, when large herbivores (cows, deer etc) reach up to eat the foliage.
