Hidden in the bushes
Close to Pennant Place is a row of bushes that line the drain behind. Almost lost under the greenery is a large stone block - see Image] for a revealing look.

An isolated artwork?
Portishead's old docks were given a massive regeneration, clearing the old industrial site and creating a marina and stylish apartment blocks. To add to the new face of the town, a number of artworks were commissioned and dotted around. However, this stone with a curious image is not part of the official art trail. See Image] for its rather hidden location view.

'Ox' by Lane Jason
In an area previously associated with some heavy industries, a heavy metal sculpture is not inappropriate. Beyond is the old Portishead dock.

A tall element
Matt Stein was given a £25,000 commission in 2007 by developer Persimmon to create an artwork as the houses were being built. The piece was finally named 'Elemental' and comprises two parts; this 4m high stainless steel work is individually named 'Flare'. See Image] for the other side of the road and the rest of the sculptures.

Blocks and columns
The large apartment blocks along Argentier Place face out into the Bristol Channel and the 'Full Fathom Five' artwork. The latter is by Michael Dan Archer and has 108 granite columns that each bear a line of text from a poem or nautical references.
