The rose garden at the Emmaus centre
The Emmaus Centre is a Catholic retreat centre run by the Daughters of Mary and Joseph. This is part of the gardens open to visitors.

Daffodils and bluebells
These flowers were in the woodland garden at the Emmaus Centre. What I thought interesting was that the daffodils were still flourishing in early May, several weeks after they had faded elsewhere in Southern England is what was an early spring following a mild winter. Maybe the shade, and damp soil, delayed their flowering.

The lychgate is, unusually, listed grade 2* (a grading normally reserved for important buildings) because of its medieval parts.
