A former 17th century barn that has been converted to residential use. Seems it has had extra buildings added since I was last here, see Image, the white building in the foreground is connected by another extension that has been bolted onto the old barn.

View across the Ouse
The Newhaven - Lewes road runs close to the river bank just the other side of the hedge. The road ascending the hill is private, leading to Deans Farm.

Looking downstream with Snap Hill to the left in the distance. The chalk quarry at South Heighton can just be made out in the centre of the picture. The footpath leaves the western side of the river here and rejoins further south at Piddinghoe.

Old Lewes to Newhaven Road (3)
The old course follows the track on the left and looks to be still in use as a private farm track to Deans Farm. The track on the right would have been added after the new road was built to allow access to it by Halcombe Farm. See Image and Image
