13 North Street
Rather bright purple house one of the few remaining in what was once a small residential street now home to car parks and industrial premises.

Spring Gardens
A street that once teemed with housing in Victorian times has been cleared for the benefit of the motor car. Only the warehouse on this side of the street remains. The trees in the background mark the eastern boundary of the graveyard of St John sub Castro.

Brook Street, Lewes
Linking North Street to St John's Hill, the road was developed around 1820 and named after the former town brook which ran to the immediate north. Originally the medieval town wall was located on the southern but this had disappeared by the time of the original development and was lined with cottages. These were removed in 1962 and the area between here and Spring Gardens to the south became a large car park. This may well go when the former ironworks site is redeveloped in the future.

Graveyard, St John sub Castro
The disused graveyard marks the northern boundary of the ancient town of Lewes, the old town walls following the line of trees to the left. The graveyard was also built on a small rise marking the site of an ancient camp.

Former Factory, North Street, Lewes
Part of the Phoenix Ironworks site that operated here between 1861 and 1986. After closure parts were demolished whilst this area was converted to other uses. It is now scheduled to be demolished as part of the large Phoenix redevelopment that is currently being planned, turning a former industrial area into a large residential one.
