Wick Farm
Viewed from above on Limekiln Scarp. Beyond the grass in the foreground is an immediate drop as the path sits on top of a former chalk quarry. Ditchling Bostall, the road up to Ditchling Beacon is next before the ground drops again towards Wick Farm. According to the 1843 tithe map the field to the left of the farm is West Wick, that on the right, East Wick, whilst Long Field is to the north.

West Wick
The name of the field according to the 1843 tithe map. The telegraph poles and houses on the right mark the course of Underhill Lane.

Three Corner Field
The name of the field according to the 1843 tithe map though much overgrown with scrub and trees with this section being the only one that has a clear view of sky. The name derives from being wedged between Ditchling Bostall, the road to Ditchling Beacon, and another field to the west which meet next to the current day car park at the foot of the hill.

Shepherds Acre
The name of this field according to the 1843 tithe map. Much of it is former abandoned quarries for the nearby limekilns suggesting there was little else to do with this field other than pasture sheep. Beyond is Limekiln Scarp.

Footpath up Limekiln Scarp
Quite steep at the beginning as it quite literally goes straight up before branching into two one going to De Lilt Brow the other towards Ditchling Beacon.
