Bowmans Close, Steyning
A cul de sac beyond the junction with Cannon's Way which is visible to the right. To the south of the bridge over Image the road becomes Abbey Road. Built in the 1980s on a former field called The Cow Field according to Steyning's 1841 tithe map.

A tributary of the River adur that rises near Steyning Round Hill and joins the river east of Kings Barn Farm. Viewed from the bridge carrying Abbey Road over the watercourse with Image to the south.

Abbey Road Open Space, Steyning
A public open space that occupies the western part of a former field called The Church Mead in Steyning's 1840 tithe map. It was separated from the eastern part initially by the construction of the Shoreham-Christ's Hospital railway in the late 1850s and much later by the opening of the Steyning By-Pass in 1981. The land is located next to Tanyard Stream and was occasionally known to flood in the past and may have been the site of Steyning's medieval port which had silted up by the 12th century.

A residential road that runs from Bowmans Close to Steyning By-Pass that was built in the 1980s on a former field called The Cow Field according to Steyning's 1841 tithe map. The former field boundaries have still been retained and can be made out on a modern map.

Henderson Walk, Steyning
A residential road that runs from Cannons Way to Farnefold Road that was built in the mid 1980s on land vacated by Gatewick Farm after the construction of the Steyning By-Pass in 1981. Numbers 1-7 are located in this small cul de sac.

Steyning By-Pass
Built in the mid 1980s to carry the A283 away from centres of Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding. Partly built on the trackbed of the former Shoreham-Horsham railway that operated between 1861-1966 before that veers off to the right beyond the police parking space and grey fence to the right.
