Ferry Road, Shoreham Beach
The Shoreham Beach area of Shoreham-by-Sea occupies the spit of land formed by longshore drift at the mouth of the River Adur. Although there is a long shingle beach - typical of the Sussex coast - the ambience is more suburban than seaside. This is the view along Ferry Road towards the Adur Ferry Bridge across Shoreham Harbour; the block of flats to the left is Atlantic Court; the end of Pacific Court can be seen beyond. The tower of St Mary de Haura church pokes up in the background.

Bungalows, Ferry Road
I think one or two of the original railway carriage bungalows may have survived as the army saved and used the more sturdier structures on the beach and demolished the rest. The original bungalows had two third class railway carriages placed on a concrete base side by side, then roofed over with many others eventually built around.
These two are on the corner of Ferry Road and Old Fort Road though I've no idea if these are 51950s rebuilds or original survivors.

The Waterside
Late 1930s pub on Ferry Road designed by R Stavers Hessell Tiltman. Originally named The Tudor House, it was renamed The Lady Jane in c.1967 and then given its current name, The Waterside, in c.1986.
