I think one or two of the original railway carriage bungalows may have survived as the army saved and used the more sturdier structures on the beach and demolished the rest. The original bungalows had two third class railway carriages placed on a concrete base side by side, then roofed over with many others eventually built around. These two are on the corner of Ferry Road and Old Fort Road though I've no idea if these are 51950s rebuilds or original survivors.
