A271, Magham Down
There are bus shelters in both directions - quite a luxury. What looks like an inn sign on the left was indeed once one, but the pub is now offices of the Demelza Community, hospices for children.

Ten Acres (1)
The name of the field according to the 1844 tithe map. This is the northern tip of the old field that has been separated from the rest to become part of a garden. The trees on the left provide the old boundary of the field whilst the fence to the right is the new one.

Red Lion Field
Home to Magham Down football club who play in East Sussex Division Three. The recreation ground was known as Lion Field on the 1844 tithe map after an inn which was situated at the northern end of the field next to the modern A271.
