Southern Ring Road
The road runs parallel with the A27 at this point and is a major artery within the university's road system being linked to both the western entrance and only exit from the university at the village of Falmer. Needless to say getting off campus at 5pm is not a quick process and another entrance/exit road is sorely needed.

Southern Ring Road, University of Sussex
This road was added when one of the original entrances to the campus, at the bottom of the slope where the road makes a ninety degree turn to the north, was blocked off during the construction of the new A27 Falmer diversion route during the late 1970s. The road links much of the campus with the current entrance on Knights Gate Road.
