Hamilton Road, Brighton
A residential road that runs from Old Shoreham Road to Stanford Road that was developed in the ate 1860s as part of the Prestonville estate. The Prestonville Arms is on the left at the junction with Brigden Street whilst further up the hill to the right number 32 was birthplace of sculptor Eric Gill.

Old Shoreham Road
Former A27 now A270 has long been a major east west route in the area. Part of its course follows an old local Roman road which continued to be used for over a thousand years. This part climbs from the railway tunnel below with Prestonville Terrace lining the northern side of the road.

Hamilton Road
Taken from the junction with Old Shoreham Road. Built as part of the Prestonville estate in the mid 1860s. The sculptor and engraver, Eric Gill, was born in this road in 1882.
