Broomland Four Acres
The name of the field according to Clapham's 1843 tithe map that lies in the extreme south west corner of the parish. The field seems to have been left to its own devices being a mixture of a wheat crop and various flowers and weeds.

Adur Avenue, Durrington
Part of a residential housing estate built in the 1960s on former farmland and nurseries. The road runs in a horseshoe shape from New Road to Humber Avenue. See also Image

Eastern Part of Frithes
The name of the field according to Goring's 1840 tithe map that has been expanded to include Image to the west. A portion of the field has been lost to allotments beyond the hedge to the left and one suspects in the long run will be lost to housing development as the suburbs of Worthing creep westwards.

Western Part of Frithes
The name of the field according to Goring's 1840 tithe map that has been expanded to include Image to the east. One wonders how long it will be before the westward creep of Worthing's suburbs engulf this field, the newly constructed West Durrington suburb can be seen in the distance.
