Moordown: site of Martin Luther Church
Dwellings will soon be on the site of the former Martin Luther German church, which took over the disused church of St. Birinus, on the acute corner of Malvern and Easter Roads, in 1963 until its demolition in January 2008. A history of the church will be found on the excellent Winton Community website here: http://www.wintonforum.co.uk/martinluther.html

Moordown: footpath M03 arrives on Limited Road
This public footpath from Brassey Road emerges at the abrupt dead end of Limited Road. Another public footpath, number M05, used to extend straight ahead to Clifford Road, but that route was extinguished in the early 1990s and is now a driveway to a few houses built around that time. See Image for the view towards us from the road ahead, with links to further photos along the path behind us.

Moordown: snow-capped postbox
Image does not often have this appearance; it followed Bournemouth's heaviest snowfall for some years, occurring overnight and today. The picture was taken at about 10 o'clock in the evening.

Moordown: postbox № BH9 134, Limited Road
Looking along Limited Road, a small residential street, from its western end. This George V-reign postbox is my local one. Returning home from a fortnight's holiday a couple of years ago, I came here to post a letter only to find a square of tarmac where the postbox had stood – I am pleased to report it was reinstated a few months later.

Moordown: postbox № BH9 242, Malvern Road
An Elizabeth II-reign postbox set into a pillar adjoining 142 Malvern Road; now that the house and pillar have been plastered it looks almost as if it is set into the property itself. Although it noticeably used to be a shop, this was never a post office.

Moordown: footpaths M03 and M04 meet
The public footpath, M03 from Limited Road (behind us) heads for Brassey Road (straight ahead), while a short path, M04, linking Ripon Road, goes off to our left. Moordown: footpath M04 to Ripon Road
This short public footpath forms an offshoot from path M03, on which we are standing, between Brassey and Limited Roads. It leads onto Ripon Road, which we see in the background. See Image for the view along path M03, and Image for the emergence onto Ripon Road ahead.
