Bournemouth: Lyme Regis House
Bournemouth's newest substantial building follows the example of the majority of Bournemouth University's buildings in being named after a Dorset town or village. It was completed in the autumn of 2009 and is student accommodation. Its facade is catching the Christmas Day sun, picking out the shaded side of the lamppost.

BU Executive Business Centre
This building on Holdenhurst Road must be very new as Google Earth shows a vacant site. In fact this was six days before the official opening http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/newsandevents/News/2009/sep/ne003_ebc_events.html Lyme Regis House (behind the bus) is student accommodation, and is also newly opened http://www.spinnakergroup.co.uk/NewsArticle.aspx?elementId=4332

Bournemouth: more offices on the way
This site has lain unoccupied for many years and, for the last few, was used as a car park for one of Bournemouth's bigger employers (JP Morgan, I believe). A new office block is not far off, though.

Bournemouth: Executive Business Centre and Lyme Regis House
Looking across Holdenhurst Road towards a site which used to house a coach depot – it became a private gravel car park for one of the nearby offices before being redeveloped last year (see Image). Bournemouth University's Executive Business Centre is the fairly recent result of the development, with Lyme Regis House, student accommodation, occupying the next frontage along, set back slightly. (Most of the University's buildings are named after Dorset towns and villages, so Lyme Regis is just the latest example.)
